I found my old cassette players in the storage shed. I wonder if they still work after sitting for years... I have aa Radio Shack CCR-81 from around 1982 or 1983. A General Electric 3-5151A with woodgrain, and a date code 2119, not sure what that means, so help would be appreciated. A Fisher Price tape recorder manufactured November 29, 1983. I bet it was a Christmas present in 1983. This was my first tape recorder. Also my first portable cd player a Sanyo CDP-47 manufactured September 1994. I used it in my 81 Silverado back in high school with the cassette adapter. Hopefully they still work!

Recieved as shown in video with the window from the Cassette Deck door seperated & One little Round Foot as shown - broken off from the bottom rear. The Boombox does operate but the Knob's in the front as noticed in the video are Extremely hard to Turn/Rotate! Guessing from being pushed on from the front as there was NO padding to the front of this D8623 as shown in this video. Tracking number provided but no address's shown as there should only be Three people and the shipper with the knowledge of where this came from, bought by, & finaly recieved by me. as a gift/present. As known by me and the buyer and the seller the cassette door window was intact at the time of the listing but arrived seperated - curious as to how much force is required to shake that little plexiglass plate off of the front of the door while in transit due to NO Bubblewrap? With a new battery, my 1986 Panasonic full-size VHS Newvicon tube camcorder is now fully portable. It may look like there were spots on the lens, but the lens is clean and the spots disappeared as soon as I took it back inside. Maybe it was caused by internal condensation due to the difference in temperature.

I didn't pay much attention to it at the time, but it was enough to focus my attention on a small notice that appeared in a website listing (the "New York scoop" of interesting events taking place in New York City during the final week of June. This is a live 1982 rehearsal of Bad Company's - Can't Get Enough, played by Mario's Band: John Saja - vocals Mike (Boom Boom) Borror - bass Eddie Picard - drums Robbie Daug - guitar This was September 1982. We used to practice upstairs of a Montreal restaurant called, Mario Submarine. Seeing as our band never went as far as having a name, we decided to call ourselves, Mario's Band. I like this song. The only thing i don't really like about it is the bad choice of pick-up for the first solo. I just didn't switch it to another position due to inexperience, i guess. We were all 22 years old when we recorded this. We recorded this with a portable Pioneer tape player/radio which was strategically placed in the hall to record all of us as best as possible with the built in stereo microphones. The hall was huge, by the way. It was about 3 city-bus lengths long and two city-bus lengths wide, with the entrance to the hall located in the center of the hall near the inside wall. We set-up across from the doorway, but more up to the left. We took up a small little area - it was so cool. My guitar sound, by the way, is coming from a blonde Ibanez (Blazer Series) going into an original 1970's Electroharmonix Big Muff (before there were lights on them) and an MXR Dynacomp (compressor) and ending up in a Roland Cube 60 amp. Thee is no video so i just took a video of the wave editor on my screen after i copied the song from a audio cassette to my hard drive so i could record the play ...

I've got a load of content on that format and I see it pointless to chuck it away and re-purchase on DVD! I could transfer to digital like I've shown in my previous VHS video, but that's hassle for tape upon tape. So basically, what I'm trying to say, I'm in love with retro tech and I refuse to let this format die! I see myself using VHS for the rest of my life.... Memories in Mono. In the year 2000, my step-Dad helped me modify my PXL-2000 video camera by soldering in new wires, and connectors that granted separate audio, and video outputs from the PXL. The standard output was a coaxial RCA output that could not be connected to a portable, external recording source. After the modification work was done, I immediately tested the camera, and the mods worked perfectly, although, the sound remained mono, and so you will only hear audio from the left channel. I still wonder where that camera ended up. Honestly, I have no idea whether it was stolen, or I just misplaced it. Either way, I just wish I could find it. Anyway, the PXL camera used standard audio cassettes to record both video, and audio at 8 frames per second. In order to store all that information, it ran the recording tape in what looked like fast forward, and you could only use one side of the tape. So, a 120 minute, high-bias cassete would yield about 5 minutes of video. This is where the modification comes into play. If you can imagine a tape player, be it a walkman, a stand alone deck, or anything else, when you're scanning, or playing in fast forward, it's VERY noisy, and with it's stock connections, recording video, yes, video, on audio tapes, the noise drowned the recording. In it I arrange a system of radio transmission and reception with which I interfere using my body in space. In it I arrange a system of radio transmission and reception with which I interfere using my body in space. I intend to implicate myself within a system of noise, otherwise to be enfolded into an order - to be dissolved. Through the barely existent control I have over this system, I introduce ideas related to longing, desire, loss, and the inability to express my internal world. More information can be found in chapter four of my thesis, which you can find on my website through Scribd. I use many samples, altered and looped digitally. Also in use are an FM transmitter which transmits the samples, a consumer FM tuner, a vintage Grundig transistor radio strapped up like a guitar, a dictaphone cassette player, and a vintage Garrard portable valve turntable.
