This one is one of my newer machines, from Jan. 1994. It is AC bias, but oddly on the inside you don't see the usual bias oscillator transformer. I think it uses inductors for the coils of the bias oscillator. The audio quality of this recorder is very good, but disappointingly it doesn't get very sensitive to weaker sounds and is more optimized for close-range voice.
